As the name suggests, individual therapy is all about the patient as an individual. People seek professional help for a variety of reasons, including depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, ADHD, OCD, or bipolar disorder, among other conditions.
At Encompass Counseling Center, it is our belief that it is not necessary to be a victim of emotions. One of our main goals is to help individuals work toward their own emotional calm and intellectual objectivity, enabling them to think more clearly and in turn to speak and act more constructively, as they learn to manage the high level of anxiety underlying their concerns.
Therapy sessions typically last about 50 minutes, and the frequency of appointments will depend on your specific treatment plan. Regular attendance is strongly recommended for the fastest path to recovery.
